In our lives, we have two or three opportunities to be a hero, but almost every day, we have the opportunity not to be a coward.
CHANGE
April 11th, 2007 by angeldelacoleraIf you could go back and change just one thing about your life, would you?
And if you did, would that change make your life better?
Or would that change ultimately break your heart?
Or break the heart of another?
Would you choose an entirely different path?
Or would you change just one thing?
Just one moment?
One moment that you always wanted back?
*** I couldn’t think
of any… maybe I was contented with what I had (and what I have now),
and I think every thing happened for a reason and I have no regrets at
all. Besides I’ve learn a lot of things from every experience I had.
Scars and Souvenirs
March 25th, 2007 by angeldelacoleraPeople have scars. In all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret road maps of their personal histories. Diagrams of all their old wounds. Most of our wounds heal, leaving nothing behind but a scar. But some of them don’t. Some wounds we carry with us everywhere and though the cut’s long gone, the pain still lingers.
What’s worse, new wounds which are so horribly painful or old wounds that should’ve healed years ago and never did? Maybe our old wounds teach us something. They remind us where we’ve been and what we’ve overcome. They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. That’s what we like to think. But that’s not the way it is, is it? Some things we just have to learn over and over and over again.
